Update for LiAnne Kay books

Updated: Jun 20, 2024

Hello, here is an update for my next two books.

Keeper, which is a spin off from The Cursed Bloodstone series, is going to be live in September.

This book is sooo much fun to write. It features Everly & Cenric. CENRIC! AND... ... ... Keeper is written in BOTH of their point of views.

Here a few quotes.

Note: Keeper takes place 1 year PRIOR to Betrayer.

He's young, perhaps in his mid-twenties, with golden hair that catches the dim light. His hazel eyes are intense, flecked with green and amber.

And unfortunately, he's very handsome. The kind of man that Kassandra would be interested in. Well, except for the fact that he's staring at me like I'm a fish he's about to gut.

I glance at Cenric, wondering if he feels it too. This...magic in the air. This perfect moment where anything seems possible. Even a kiss from a man who's so far out of my reach, he might as well be on the moon himself.

Everly -- Keeper

We trade blows, our blades clashing in a deadly dance. I feint to the left, then spin to the right, my blade slicing across his thigh. He cries out in pain, and his sword falls from his grasp as he clutches at the wound.

I kick his blade away and press my sword against his throat. "Pathetic."

Next, will be, A reflection of dusk and dawn (it is now available for preorder.)

I will share this part of the end of chapter 2. I LOVE that Annora is finally finding her voice! Even though she's been dealt a bad hand in book 3!

"Go away, Annora. I cannot stand to look at you right now." Asha's words cut deep, like a dagger twisting in my heart.

Instead of listening to her, I place my palms flat against her desk and lock my eyes with hers. "You cannot stand to look because if you did, you would have to admit that you are being greedy and selfish. You only care about yourself and your own agenda, just like Grandfather did."

"Get out," Asha snaps, her voice rising with barely contained anger. "I won't listen to another word of this nonsense."

"Or what? Will you kill me? Threaten me? Threaten Emerin. What will you do, Asha?"

Asha balls her hands into fists. "Do not tempt me to draw my sword, Annora. We both know you would lose."

I straighten and fold my arms. "No, you would lose, because if you stabbed me, you would never forgive yourself."

Something softens in Asha's expression before she snaps her gaze away, pinning it to the window.

"I know the truth, Asha," I say, my words low, raw. "You cannot stand the person you've become, but you've already gone too far to change."

I turn away, leaving her staring at the window.
